Goku - Goku is the main star of DragonBall Z/GT in DragonBall he wins the 23rd Budoukai and marrys Chi-Chi. In DragonBall Z Goku is the first to reach every Super Sayain level accept SSJ2 ( Gohan is the first to reach it ), and in GT he is wished to be a kid again. He teams up with pan and Trunks to get the BlackStar DragonBalls before the earth explodes.

Gohan - Gohan first appeared in DBZ when Radditz came to Earth and kidnapped him. When his father died he trained with Piccolo and became much stronger. He was the first to reach SSJ2 , while he was fighting Cell. He was the only one to ever reach the Mystic SSJ level

Vegeta - Vegeta came to earth with his sidekick Nappa to wish for immortality , but there was one problem - a "low class " Saiyan warrior named Kakarrot. He deafeated Vegeta with much difficulty. In the Frieza saga Vegeta gets killed by Frieza and wished back towards the end of the saga. In the Garlic Jr saga he is looking for Goku and training in space. When the androids arrive Vegeta defeats # 19 , but is defeated by # 17 . In the Buu saga Vegeta "good side" is first shown he sacrifices his life to destroy Buu , and before he does he tells Trunks that he really cares for him. Vegeta is after all a good person


Trunks - Trunks is the "mysterious youth" that came from the future to save Goku from a heart disease. He wasnt successful. Trunks is the son of Vegeta

Goten - Goten fist appeared in DBZ a little after Cell died. Later, when Gohan was a teen, Goten first didn't show signs of being strong but when Gohan was training for the Budoukai he asked, "When can I turn Super Saiy-jin like you big brother?" Gohan told him that he would need to train hard, but that if he did he could. Within seconds Goten turned SSJ to show Gohan. Needless to say Gohan was surprised. It turned out that he could do that for a while but Chi-Chi said not to because it made him look like a punk.

Krillin - Krillin was never very strong. He was Gokus best friend and if he didnt get killed by Frieza Goku might not have been the first Super Sayain. He married Android # 18 , the had a daughter named Marron

Yamcha - Yamcha was originally a villian in Dragon Ball who would follow Goku around with his friend Puaru trying to steal the Dragon Balls and wish for a girlfriend. He eventually gets what he wants as Bulma falls for him. Unfortunately,he screws it up several times and after awhile Bulma marries Vegeta. At first he has no special powers but soon develops several attacks including his Sokidan,or remote controlled fireball. Even though he is very brave and doesn't back down from a fight,he quickly becomes one of the weaker of the Z warriors

Tien - Tenshinhan,or Tien as he is known in the American DBZ,is one of the few humans in DBZ,and like the other humans(with the exception of Yamcha)has a very odd characteristic. He has a third eye in his forehead. He's very strong for a human but not nearly as strong as the Nameks or Saiya-jins. Even though he isn't as strong as them,he's had his moments,such as almost killing Nappa,and saving Gohan, Mr.Satan and Dende from Majin Buu. Like Yamcha and Krillin,he has a lot of heart and will go into an impossible fight without worrying about the consequences.

Nappa - Nappa came to Earth originally with Vegeta to get the dragonballs and wish for immortality. He is incredibly strong for the time he was around and caused the deaths of Tenshinhan,Chaouzu,and even Piccolo. He's the only Saiya-jin I've seen with no hair(although in one of the Japanese DBZ specials,he did when Vegeta was a kid). He was beaten by Goku and killed by Vegeta. He returned for a short time in DBGT but was quickly finished by Vegeta again.

Frieza - Freeza was the second major enemy that Goku and the gang had to face. Freeza claimed to be the strongest warrior in the universe but of course,he was proven wrong by Goku. After hearing Raditz' message about the dragonball's and then hearing Vegeta say that there were more on Namek,he decided to go to get them for himself. Eventually,Gohan,Krillin and Vegeta got them and wished Piccolo back to life and transport him to Namek. He and Freeza fought evenly until Freeza transformed into his 3rd form and overpowered Piccolo. Then,during his fight with Goku,while Piccolo distracted him,Goku hit him with the Genki-dama(spirit bomb) and it was thought that he was killed. But he was only angry,and showed it by killing Krillin. This pushed Goku over the edge,causing him to turn Super Saiya-jin,and after a long battle,Goku was victorious. But Freeza wasn't done. After being healed by his father,both of them went to Earth for revenge. Unfortunately for them,this was when Trunks arrived from the future and made short work of them. Freeza also was ressurected in Movie 12(along with Hitler,Dracula and many others) by Janemba,but this time it was Gohan who quickly sent him back to hell.

Bulma - Bulma was one of the first characters introduced in Dragon Ball when she nearly ran over Goku. They quickly became friends and looked all over the world for the 7 dragon balls. Bulma is considered to be the smart one of the group and created the dragon radar which locates the position of dragon balls. She and Yamcha fall in love but as the series progresses they break up several times and eventually she gives up on him once she meets Vegeta and they soon get married. They have a son named Trunks who is probably even stronger than his father. Her dad is Dr.Briefs who created the Capsule Corporation and it seems that she inherited his intelligence and ingenuity.

Piccolo - The original Piccolo was not the one we see in Dragon Ball Z but a being of pure evil created when Kami-sama separated the evil from the good in his body. This created Piccolo Diamou,who lived to destroy. Eventually he was beaten by Goku but with his dying breath spit out an egg containing the current Piccolo who tried for years to avenge his father by destroying Goku. But he never succeeded partly because of the land in of Goku's brother Raditz. Reluctantly,he joined forces with Goku and was the sole survivor of the battle with Raditz. Later while training Goku's son Gohan,he became very attached to the boy and even gave his life to save him during the fight with Nappa. He is a very powerful fighter that most of the Z warriors look up to if Goku isn't there. He is quiet and usually tries to stay away from crowds.
